I had dedicated my life to transformative personal development, then my son died. And that person who was Joelle prior to May 16th, 2022, that person died with him. Suddenly, I don't want the things I wanted. I don't have the capacity to do the things I used to do, nor the desire for all of the things I had envisioned for my life. This is the reason why I feel so propelled into grief education, wanting to dig into what in the heck is this grief thing and why my life has felt so different.”
